Jake Hakus
From England, in Global
"I am Jake Hakus an English artist and solo singer. With a solid background as a multi-instrumental teacher and professional drummer, I have dedicated my life to exploring and expressing my passion for music in various forms. Ten years ago, I began taking classical piano lessons while teaching myself guitar, balancing these studies with my formal education. My interest in music wasn't limited to performance; from an early age, I started composing original music and learning covers on the guitar. I now have 20 years of experience as a drummer and teacher. I started my career playing rock in pubs with both original bands and cover bands. At the age of 19, I attended BIMM Brighton as a drummer, where I learned from world-class teachers and embraced various musical styles and collaborations with different artists. My work as a session musician has allowed me to explore genres as diverse as acoustic country music, funk, metal, and jazz. I’ve always aimed to be completely open to different musical genres and concepts, which has allowed me to refine myself as an artist and draw inspiration from a wide range of influences without discrimination currently I'm spending a lot of time in West Africa to investigate and refine my knowledge of west African rhythms and traditional musicgate and refine my knowledge of west African rhythms and traditional music

With my diverse background and skills, I am constantly seeking new opportunities to share my music with the world, both on stage and in the studio, with the same passion and dedication that I have shown throughout my career."
